River coho
I spent the last two days fishing the Skykomish and Snohomish rivers. Tuesday I floated the Sky with Hugh Smith. We floated from the Sultan launch to Lewis street in Monroe, we had a pretty good day. Hugh landed two out of tree fish hooked (11.4 - 15.0 lbs.) and I landed one out of four hooked (12.5 lbs.). Dicknite spoons worked pretty good as did drift fishing. Today's results where less than great. I only hit one chum and lost around three silvers out of Jeff's sled. Over all there are not as many silvers in the river as there should be in another week or two, I hope. Another batch of rain would help allot. I have a sneaking suspicion that there just are not as many coho this year. Pleas let me be wrong. I'm thinking that I may hit the sky one more time next week, then it's on to the Vedder in Canada for four days.
I love this time of year!!!!!!!!
